Full Version: Tack Trunks
Does anyone know if patterns exist for making tack trunks? I wanna make a really nice one that I could take to shows in coming years. I love the Beval Wellington but I can't part with $1250 for a box right now, so I'd like to design one like it, with room for a saddle bar and all that jazz. Then I wanna make a smaller one to keep at home for my show sheets and stuff. Any suggestions?
Look in catalogs and find a trunk that has everything that you want. Than make a draw it out with all the measurements, and with everything you want.
That would be awesome to make your own! It would be very personalized

thats awesome!!! I made one wooden box at camp, and it was so hard hahaha, I don't think I could make an entire tack trunk!
heheh its taken me sooo long cuz i wade a tray thing to slide along gliders in the inside and i couldnt get mesurments right ... im probably never gonna use it tho i ave a tack trunk already lol
wow thats really cool that it has a sliding tray too! talk about complicated and intricate lol! I bet you'll find some use for it... maybe just have it sit in your room and have ppl admire it
I want my dad to build me a nice wooden one. But my parents just bought me a plastic one a year ago, so I will wear that thing out before I ask for a new one

THATS SUCHA GOOD IDEA!!! is the wood free???? i know the stain prob isnt..but do u hav to buy the wood since its part of school?
