Is it just me, or can anyone else just NOT get enough of the song by Dixie Chicks, Travelin Soldier? OMG Ive listened to it for like DAYS straight.... I dont know what it is about it, buut Im COMPLETELY in love with the song... I mean it makes my heart sink everytime, but also gives me a sense of pride and longing!!! I LOVE THE SONG!!!
heres some lyrics for those of you who dont know the song:

I think it may be because of how the tone and pitch varies greatly, and the last part, oh my god, just grabs me everytime....

Stevie Nicks is part of a band called Fleetwood Mac, I don't know if it still exists or not but they wrote the song a long time ago.

I looooooooove "Travelin' Soldier!" I'm singing it for one of my solo and ensemble competitions.
I also like "White Trash Wedding", on the same album. It's hilarious! The Dixie Chicks always have such awesome songs, although I'm not really that big of a "Landslide" fan.

yeah Ive been singing it forever now.... I think I might enter to sing it next year in the talent show.... maybe... it will take me that long to get some guts to do it!

lmao, I used to hate country before too, but I recently in the last year havent really listend to anything other than it.... I just cant get enough of this song though... maybe its subliminal messaging!!!! I dont know, I dont even really see it as country, more as like, IDK, memorable? hmmm
