My dishes are coming out of the dishwasher clean but covered in a white film from hard water (I think..). Anyone have any good solutions? Thanks...

You can have your water tested for hardness. If that is in fact the problem, then you can install a water softener, but they aren't cheap.

They actually make detergents for build-up on glasses and stuff, we've used it at home before. Lemi Shine works really well. I've also heard dipping your glasses in vinegar after will get it all off, but that might be time consuming.

Jet Dry helps with hard water spots. Some dishwashers have a dispenser on the door, otherwise you can get a little container that hangs off your top rack.

Eh, don't bank on a softener solving your problem. Well water sucks. I don't mind the spots on my dishes as much as the "dingy" look that my light colored clothes take on from being washed in hard water.

thanks guys! I will try the Lemi Shine and the Jet Dry- I'm more looking for that type of solution (cheap) than a water softner (not cheap!).
