Pretty well hashed out - but what are some of your guys opinions?

I like the jumping out of hand comments - much better than the auto-release. I guess the definition of the auto-release isn't defined enough/or to much.

The other bit - I went to HGS because I saw Rumble said she was involved int eh eventing club - given that I'm a eventer I went and had a good look at the forum... my question is - why use different user names on different boards? i.e Rumble is rummymuffin (sorry to pick you out rumble) and I'm sure there are others... doh - i just figured it out - the user name wasn't avaliable gah.

Interesting thread. I prefer doing crest release on hunters, but sometimes I use automatic release, especially over higher jumps and when I need immediate control afterwards. My teacher, however, makes me do auto all the time in lessons bacause she says I'll never learn to balance if I use the horse neck for balance.
