Soooo I decided it was time for me to a) be a cool kid and b) not freeze my ass off this winter riding, and my athlete friends love Under Armour, I tried on my friend's shirt, it would work great for riding, so I've ordered that but I'm trying to decide about pants, and I was wondering if anyone's had any experience with them? Reccomendation on type? And then fit wise, ok I know they give a chart but I am notoriously between sizes. Like I'm a small shirt but pants vary on me b/c I'm normally an 8L, but I've got prominent hips and a small waist, soooo it varies. I was thinking just moving up to a medium pant? Even though I've ordered a small longsleeve mock? I was looking at
these pants, however I'm wondering if I'd do better with a compression fit? And I can't exactly figure out the dif between base 1 and base 2. Anywho I'd be using these mainly for riding (I'd wear them both under breeches and jeans) and then also hiking (I know, in the middle of Jan, I'm quite the loony) and running on occasion for when I'm really feeling ambitious to turn to ice running outside the gym. Thanks ahead in advance.

mm those look toasty for riding, i should get some for shows before i freeze my ass off this winter season.
as for sizing, no clue. they're stretchy though, right? hopefully you'll find a good fit.
i'd say go for the bigger one since you're going to be riding, and it's a bit of an awkward position for tight pants oO

under armour should fit like spandex. it needs to be tight in order to hold your body heat. I am normally a large in my normal clothes so i get a large in te under armor and it fits really good. the leggings run big because they are more fitted towards mens legs so they are sorta long. ussualy if you stick towards your normal sizing it will work out. Their sports bras run pretty big though. I always get a size down because they stretch after awhile.

The really thick material (usually the mock turtleneck kind, are the heaviest. That is good if you like to wear just an undershirt and a sweater with the UA. Then there is the Turf Gear under armour. That works really great under show cloths or if you like to wear layers. it's also really nice in the fall and spring under a longsleeve t shirt or sweatshirt. you don't get too hot with it on.
(I played softball for about10 years so all of the under armour stuff I have been around for awhile. it's great and it lasts FOREVER!)

last winter I went to EMS and got
these underarmour type leggings. They are really lightweight so you don't feel them underneath your jeans or breeches, plus they keep you very warm. As for fit....well thats up to you! like klang said, they design them more for mens legs so typically go for a size smaller than normal.

I've had those kind of leggings except before they invented the cold gear version. I'm a size 2 and I think I wear a small in those. Or a size 2. It's just really close to your normal size. Just a heads up they sit HIGH lol. Pretty hawt.
They get pretty warm once you start riding, it just is kind of uncomfortable at first because the fabric gets cold and its RIGHT against your skin. Idk. Maybe it's just me lol.

I wear a 8L or a 6L (depending on brand) too (with a tiny waist and big hips/but). Get the Medium pants...thats what i have in all of thier diffrent pants. All of their pants are low waist/low rise, and I found that while the small fit in the legs (the loose pants that is,I found the stretchy pants clostrophobic fealing all over in a small), the waist band was uncomfy after about 2hours. We just got a BIG under armour store in the Annapolis Mall, and my Dad (who is in his mid 60's) has spent a total of 6 hours in it (it opened the 1st)..he is obssessed.

you can't really tell the diff in base one or base two in the pants without feeling them. I would get base one because it's meant to go under base two and your base two would be your jeans or breeches. medium would work for you, i wear a large due to my very large bottom.

So I ended up finding a really awesome sporting goods store in d-ville much to my great surprise, and I tried on the basic under amour cold gear pants they had, and WOW I loved them and bought them, and they fit PERFECTLY underneath my jeans and my breeches. No awk bulges, lines, etc. And I stayed toasty warm from 8 AM when it was 30 degrees out to 4PM when it got up to 57 degrees. I also loveeeee my rose pink shirt too. It's quite sexy and I'm the envy of my soccer hallmates LOL. The stuff also does an awesome job for typical athletic activities. Like running. On a very cold mountain haha. So yeah, I highly recommend this route for winter wear. It's quite amazing.

I think I should get a pair of these for ocala this year. I always freeze my ass off in the mornings.
Would I buy these at a sports authority kind of place?

Potentially. You can order them online for pretty cheap but their outlets are everywhere. I'd go there and hook yourself up.
