ABC Television's hit reality show, "Wife Swap," is currently casting for it's third season!
We are looking for fun, outgoing and dynamic families who are involved in equestrian sports to be featured on upcoming episodes of the show. If your family would be excited about sharing your lifestyle with another family (and the rest of the country) and would love to show the positive things you've learned from participating in horsemanship, then we want to hear from you!
Families applying for "Wife Swap" must:
- Consist of two parents (but they don't necessarily have to be married)
- Have at least one child between the ages of 6-17 living full time in the home
- Live in the continental USA
- Due to security restrictions, military families cannot be considered at this time
Families selected to appear on "Wife Swap" will receive a $20,000 honorarium, and if you refer a family that is selected for the show, you will receive a $1,000 finder's fee.
For more information, to obtain an application or refer a family, please contact Meghan McGinley at (646) 747 7959 or Meghan.McGinley@rdfusa.com.

I've watched the show, the $20,000 is not just given to you. The wife that swapped with you decides how the 20k is spent after spending the time with your family, usually splits it up into different pieces (Ie: a boat, some to charity..).

This will be interesting. I have watched the shows a few times and of course they choose polar opposite families to create drama, so that people will watch. So if they found a family that showed on the circuit every weekend and had a mom come in that refused to let them go to the barn, ride or show for a week. All hell could break loose. I don't think I could survive without going to the barn for a week........

I'd love to do it if there is no possible chance what-so-ever, that my mom gets swapped with that crazyyyyyyyyyy catholic woman who screams that you worship satan if you dont go to church every week and pray before every meal. I'd go crazy with that woman.

I think from what they said here:

Since it is plural, what I think they are going to do is take a H/J and make them swap with a QH person or a dressage person. Now that would be drama.

That would be drama. But would non-horse people understand some of it? I have enough trouble explaining a horse blanket to my friends.

I saw this earlier, but I thought it was that "Trading Spouses" show on Fox, now I realized it's a different show.....probably similar though. PerfectFit, I know the woman you're talking about....I'd heard about it and found videos online, it was funny..."I am a GOD WARRIOR!!!!!"

Bloody hell, that woman makes some of the women who have appeared on the British version seem quite normal.
As for the money - tainted or not - who cares just bank the bloody stuff PDQ!
