I only ride for fun, I don't show. I do like to attend/watch/photograph shows and support my friends if they are showing. Mostly on my own I just like to go out and trail ride!

I ride and show for fun, as in I don't really go for points and year end awards. I don't have the time to attend all the shows it would take to place highly in year end awards. Though even if I was going for points and showing very frequently, I would still say I did it for fun..

I do a little of both. I work a little in the arena then as a reward take a long ride after.

My barn's unofficial motto is "It's all about the fun."
I enjoy showing which is why I do it. If it wasn't fun, I would stop doing it.

Showing give me goals to work towards...and I think the true test of any horse is them performing out of their comfort zone. Plus it gives my horse and I a much better bond. But anything I do with horses is fun. I show once or twice a month during show season, but I love to show and ride at home.

Both! I love riding and horses, which is why I do it, but showing gives you something to work towards and something to look forward to

I love to show, but I will have to choose the fun part of just riding as I would rather train the babies and ride for fun to see them become something than ride at a show anyday, but I do love to show and can't imagine not doing a show or two once a year even though I have gone through a whole year with only one show at the end.

Agreed 100%. I enjoy showing, but mostly I enjoy the process of training my horse to be ready for the show. I don't show for the sake of winning the blue. Obviously it's nice to win a ribbon, but if I've acheived my personal goals then I'm happy.

I ride for fun for the most part. I do some showing if it is going to be fun but I don't get into the point chasing and all of that stuff.

I'm all for fun too. I used to be more interested in showing, but once I reached my goal in showing it's lost a lot of it's appeal. I love going to the barn and just being able to jump on my mare bareback and fool around and go over poles, jump little x's and such.

I love to show, so I consider it fun. However, if suddenly I could not show ever again, I would still continue to ride because I love horses. Due to summer vacations and my horse injuring himself, I haven't shown since June, and as much as I am dying to get back in the show ring, I still have fun going to the barn everyday just to take care of my horse.

I've only ever done some schooling shows and a couple of local rodeos when I was younger. I haven't shown as an adult. I ride for fun but would love to take my horse to some schooling shows for fun.

I ride for fun & for show.
I go to shows, but mainly just be with my friends.
Somedays I take it too seriously, but I try not to.
In my opinion, you dont go to win, you go to make memories.
