A cob is a horse that's about 14-15 hands and is strongly built kind of drafty looking I guess....

That's the kind of cob that phil's mum was, you can have lots of different types of cob, so they split them by putting them in sections. ther higher up the alphabet they get [section C,D,E etc.] the more bone and feather they have.

I have an Australian Stock Horse x Arab gelding that I am just schooling at the moment, he a tad too hot headed for the dressage ring at the moment and we have a few problems where he goes into a really short striding, rushy trot and he disunites in canter.

but we're getting there

Im going to start ring a grey wb soon, and do some low level dressage shows and some hack shows on him

both of mine are doing NZ-novice level (I think it's the same as USA first level? trot & canter extensions, leg yielding etc, 15m circles etc?)
Belle is a 6yo of unknown breeding (wild bred on the hills) - we suspect she has throughbred & a little warmblood in her.
Bonnie is a 12yo half-clydesdale, quarter arab, quarter throughbred

Neither of them are dressage horses
Belle is an eventer/showhunter
and Bonnie is a showjumper
but it's good to do something different for fun sometimes

Im training a TB mare and a QH mare for the discipline.
We are still on the basics and if Lacy (the really green QH) doesnt get better (shes lame right now and has been for 2 weeks

we cant figure out whats wrong and we have had the vet out too many times to count) but if she doesnt get better its going to be a big hold up in her training since we were just getting her to round her circles and not to drop her shoulder in her circles at the walk and trot ... we were about to start teaching her the canter under saddle but of course not

My 9 y.o. KWPN stallion CAN do dressage, I just don't do it with him... he can do all the movements and stuff haha he's just not the best mover for it... I'm hoping my friend will let me ride his Advanced horse when I go and see him in a few weeks... awesome, awesome horse.

I'm not big into the whole competition thing but I was training my 14yo Australian Stock Horse mare at Advanced, I don't know what that is in the American terminology though.
I recently got a 7yo Australian Stock Horse mare who previous riders had tried a few interesting (to say the least) training techniques on her. Needless to say she hated everyone and wasn't willing to co-operate with her riders. I'm slowly working on her, she has really nice movement and she is actually wanting to try and understand what I ask of her so with any luck we will get up to a decent level in dressage.
About 2 weeks ago I was sent a 5yo 1st Cross Andalusian mare, to 'break in'. She is coming along really nicely, her movement is to die for. Once I get her under saddle her owner wants me to campaign her in dressage, I couldn't tell you what level she is likely to get to until I actually ride her, but with the movement and her bloodlines *fingers crossed* she will get to FEI after a few years.
I have photos of all three on my website...

Lacy is a Qh Breedingstock paint cross and we arent to levels yet, she is far to green... if we were to do a test it would be walk trot, but first she needs to learn how to circle, she tends to drop her shoulder in the last 1/4 of the circle.

uhhh. no i didn't add it to sound "fancy"
she was never registered but she has magyar lines in her. basically a hungarian TB is a bit more warmblood-like than a TB, and they are never raced. they aren't as thin or built the same way at all.

Mike, she is just "taking the piss" because you typed Oldenburger instead of Oldenburg - some people find nothing better to take the piss with than the language barrier...

PS: Stewie - it is no wonder you were suspended and your alter was naughtied...Maybe it has to do with behavior like this OUTSIDE of immature.
