i know we've had topics similar to this before, but i figured since there are a lot of new members here, and the topics in thes forum are kinda lacking, it would be ok.
anyway, who are your idols/people you look up to in the horse world? who are your favorite hunter, jumper, or eq riders? who are your favorite horses and why? what about your favorite pro riders, or your favorite trainer? is there a small town local rider that you look up to or know is going to make it big some day? dont forget to post why you look up to these people. post pics too!

siince im from canada and dont know enough people well enough far away to consider them idols, and the people that i know like G/P riders etc are deffitly not "idol" matierial Cough**Cough** i will just post about the local people

pro rider: Tiffany foster. She went pro last year i think. i have known her since we both rode at north shore so A LONG time... when we were both starting out, and i cannot say there is someone who has worked as hard as she has to recive how much she has not only does she have flawless eq, but she is such a nice person who works sooo ahrd and is so dedicated.

trainer: My trainer- she has nnot only brought me where i am now, she has helped me out in sooo many ways, she works so hard for everything and she is just great haha (i dint have enough nice things to say haha)

someone on this board who you admire: Chrissy. For many many reason, most of all she probably knows, but i have gone through somewhat similar expirinces as she has and she has alwasy been very supportive and understanding And she knows sooo much about life., and our chats on aim (though very sparse) were always enlightening hehe.

jumper rider: my girl lauren chin! short ppl can ride the big guyzz.

I also always liked Gary Stevens! And Alex Solis even when he was virtually unknown.

local/somewhat unknown rider: shelbi siclari because shes a really good rider and was winning in the jr hunters as like a 12 year old on a 4 year old horse or something crazy like that and she works sooo hard.

pro rider:anyone that DOESN'T ride around here. I can't stand watching the local pro's ride.
trainer: My trainer Al Hughes. He has taken a lot of shit from us girls and has taught me SOO MUCH in the 1 1/2 that i've been riding w/ him. My horse has come a LONG way in that time as well. He's given us the chance to go to some bigger shows but keeps drilling the basics in every lesson. He strives perfection w/ us. and he's a nervous wreck when we show, haha .
local/somewhat unknown rider:Kim Ernisee, you guys will be seeing a LOT of her very soon! she's been in Wellington for the past 2 months w/ some BNT (female) whose name i can't remember < > (any help would be great) and I was just told today that she is not coming back to Rochester, she will spend the summers in Clarence, NY and the winters in FL w/ the trainer she is with now. I totally admire her b/c she is so soft and quiet in the saddle but the job gets done, and it's all very pretty, and she is amazingly nice!

jumper rider:Michelle Pia, I've only seen her ride once, but it was in her first Grand Prix this past winter in Ocala. Anyways, I thought she was a really cute little rider (best EQ I saw that day , not that i watched any eq classes, but oh well.) and then she came over to talk to her mom who was sitting next to us when she finished and she was really sweet.

someone on this board who you admire: You know, I've been on this board since Jan. but I haven't really gotten to know any one enough to say that i actually admire them....

also i forgot to add Jen Bliss to the list of hunter/eq riders i admire. I've known jen for about 6 years (went to school with her and rode with her) and rode/showed against her for about 3 when i was a jr. she has to be one of the most fluid and efficient riders i have ever seen. she makes everything, honestly EVERYTHING look effortless, and is always correct about everything she does. she showed my horse a few times as well, which was awesome.
